Most of earth station antennas shares common transceiver which plays a vital role in satellite communication. The antenna works outdoors. Due to bad eternal environment, natural environment in usable district should be fully taken into consideration at the beginning of design process. In the process of application, regular maintenance and maintenance test is needed in order to improve service life and communication reliability of antenna.
Daily check
•Check if antenna pitch motor is abnormal
•Check antenna automatic tracking performance
Weekly check
•Check if feed membrane of antenna horn mouth is complete and clean. Keep feed membrane clean and dry, not crack and hole. When the surface of membrane is gathered rain and snow, the antenna lobe may go bad and antenna gain may fall off, which can affect antenna performance.
•Check if the axis place of motor and lead screw has abnormal voice and heating phenomenon.
•Check if antenna cable has phenomena of heating, aging or mouse bite.
•Check if the motor leaks
Monthly check
•Check decrease degree of motor oil and fill in the lubricating oil in time
•Check if the antenna pitch limit plays a role
•Check if antenna azimuth pitch lamp works properly
•Check the performance of antenna controller
•Clean high-frequency box thoroughly and maintain it clean
•Check filling time of waveguide aerator and desiccant
•Check if outdoor waveguide is damaged or not
Yearly check
•Rotate elevation axis of antenna in a broad range to prevent rust
•Clean lubricating grease on lead screw of antenna elevation away and grease again
•Renew lubricating oil of antenna azimuth elevation motor
•Renew feed source membrane
•Repaint antenna in three years
•Test vital indicators including antenna azimuth elevation diagram, antenna gain
•Check if there is paint off on prime and sub reflectors. Repaint in time when there is large shedding area. Check marine antenna weekly because seawater can corrode the antenna seriously.
•Check antenna lightening conductor and test its ground resistance
•Check linkage switching action and contacting situation
• Check operating situation of snow loader before winter
